In this blog post, we compare these two programmes to help aspiring EdTech entrepreneurs understand the unique offerings and determine which programme suits their needs best.
Let's dive into the details of each programme and explore their similarities and differences.
This is a remote-first 10-week accelerator program designed to help early-stage EdTech startups accelerate their growth and scale internationally. This virtual program provides startups with $50,000 in upfront investment*, valuable hands-on mentorship, and access to Supercharger Ventures' global network of investors and partners.
The program welcomes EdTech startups from around the world, provided they are in the pre-seed or seed stage, have a minimum viable product, and can demonstrate traction. By participating in the Flagship Program, startups gain the resources and support they need to thrive on a global scale.
*As part of Cohort 7.0, SuperCharger Ventures will provide you with the Accelerator Programme + $50k upfront investment in exchange for 6% equity.
This is a physical 12-week accelerator programme tailored to empower EdTech startups looking to scale within the European market. This program consists of 6 weeks of in-person and 6 weeks of hybrid engagement. It offers participating startups access to non-dilutive funds of up to €500,000 or more in the form of a soft loan, hands-on mentorship, and a local network of investors and partners. Additionally, selected startups may have up to €50,000 of their expenses reimbursed.
To be eligible for the Malta Programme, startups must be between the Seed stage - Series A stage, possess a product already in the market, and demonstrate traction. This program provides a unique opportunity to tap into the European market and benefit from the extensive support and resources available in Malta.
Both the Flagship and the Malta Programmes share several core characteristics such as:
These shared elements ensure that participating startups receive the necessary support and are positioned for success.
The primary distinction between the Flagship Programme and the Malta Programme lies in the program location and the stage of the company. The Flagship Program is conducted virtually/online, allowing startups to participate from anywhere in the world, while the Malta Program involves a combination of in-person and hybrid engagement, with six weeks dedicated to on-site activities in Malta.
Additionally, for the Malta Program, companies should be revenue generating and willing to set up an office in Malta/EU, as it offers the opportunity for immersive in-person engagement within the European market. Whereas the flagship programme focuses on core commercial and fundraising acceleration that is applicable to companies worldwide.
Supercharger Ventures' Flagship Program and Malta Program are both exceptional opportunities for EdTech startups to accelerate their growth and achieve success.
The Flagship Programme caters to startups seeking global exposure, while the Malta Programme focuses on helping startups expand within the European market.
